( The snow was coming down steadily, unrelentingly, and even with the wipers going as fast as they could, Chris could not see far up the road ahead. He was leaning forward in his truck, staring through the bit of windshield that the wipers tried to clear, but it was snow, white road, snow, and hardly any use, so he slowed down some more, cussing at the weather and grateful that he only had four more miles to go. )
